Making an Appointment
  • The Surgery operates on an appointment-based system. Walk-in presentation can be seen too, please contact our friendly Administrative Staff for further advice.
  • Appointments can be made online via HealthEngine.
  • For Urgent Cases Triage protocol exists and is implemented by our qualified medical team Receptionists and Practice Nurse.
  • Appointments are generally 15 minutes apart, but if you need a longer appointment, please advise the Medical Receptionist.
  • Longer appointments are available on request.
  • Patients with prior appointments have first priority
  • Telehealth appointments are available- please enquire about guidelines.

Fees

All scheduled consultations are mixed billing and some fees may apply to all consults. Please enquire about specific fees. Please ensure you have a current Medicare card with you, or you will be charged a private consultation fee as per our private fee schedule. Veteran Affairs card holders are also bulk billed directly to the veteran’s affairs.

Workers compensation claims will only be billed if you supply all details regarding the claim and if we have approval from the insurer. Otherwise, the patient will be privately billed.

Pensioners and Health Care Card holders are Bulk Billed.

Medical reports will be charged a fee as follows:

Our Practice participates in Nation, State and Territory Reminder Systems and Registers, if you do not wish to be part of the latter, please advise the Receptionist.

House visits entail private fees with prior booking arrangements beforehand.

Change of Personal Details

Please advise the receptionist of any change of personal details as soon as possible. This is very important so that the staff will be able to contact you if necessary for any health-related matters.

Communicating electronically and Telephoning your doctor

As part of our privacy policy, our practice does not encourage communicating via email with Patients.

Email is not for Clinical information.

The Doctor on Duty will take phone calls that are related to you or your family’s health whenever is possible. If the doctor is with a patient you may need to leave a message with Reception Staff and the Doctor will call you later. Tests Results, Referrals, Prescriptions, and Medical Certificates are not given over the phone and booked appointment or walk in presentation is required for all of the above.

Facilities for the Disabled
The practice is wheelchair accessible with a lift from street level to the practice door. Any additional special needs can be discussed with the receptionist, practice nurse or the doctor.
Patient Confidentiality

Your medical records are a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information. It is only available to authorized members of staff.

Your Rights

If you are unhappy with any aspect of care within the practice, we would be happy to discuss this with you. Please feel free to approach Dr Kichkin or any of the receptionists. However, if you feel there is a need to speak to a third party you may prefer to contact the NSW Government centre for handling complaints.

Our Medical receptionist and Practice Nurse on duty will be happy to facilitate appointment bookings, otherwise online bookings also available through HealthEngine.
